About Lady Lilac
At Lady Lilac Flower Farm and Floristry, everything we grow and design is rooted in care, for the earth, for our community, and for each other.
What started as a small, family-run flower farm in Swanzey, NH has blossomed into a full-service floral design studio, creating flowers for weddings, funerals, and everyday occasions. Whether we’re designing an archway filled with farm-grown blooms, crafting a casket spray to honor a loved one, or making our signature vintage mason jar bouquets, every piece is made with intention, beauty, and heart.
We carry the same eco-friendly practices from our fields into our floral studio. Our work is guided by the values of reduce, reuse, recycle, and repurpose, from using reusable vessels and natural materials to composting our flower scraps. Sustainability isn’t just how we grow; it’s how we create.
We believe in working with nature, not against it. That means no plastic row covers, no herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers. Instead, we nurture our soil and plants using permaculture principles, compost made from chicken, horse, and rabbit manure, and natural solutions like fish and seaweed fertilizers, neem oil, and companion planting to keep pests in check. We even use biodegradable mulch made from cornstarch and practice low-till methods to protect the soil’s health.
We’ll be the first to admit, we’re still learning. Becoming as eco-friendly as we dream to be is a journey, and we’re constantly experimenting, growing, and finding new ways to do better for the planet.
But what truly makes our farm special is the family behind it. We're a husband-and-wife team who’ve poured our hearts into this dream, alongside our four amazing kids:

Emma lends her hands (and heart) to everything-from helping to building our hoop house and farm stand to hours spent weeding under the sun.

Brianna supplies rabbit manure, loves to weed, and is always gifting our flowers to those she loves.

Tyler shares his knowledge and passion for Korean Natural Farming (KNF), helping us grow smarter and more sustainably.

Austin helps tackle lots of farm chores with grit, from planting, to digging dahlias, to spreading compost..
We grow with love, and we design with it too — because we believe that beauty blooms best when it begins with respect for the land and the people we create for.

Our Team at Lady Lilac
The husband-and-wife team behind the magic! Kandi and Mike share all the farm chores-yes, even the chicken wrangling and weed battles. Kandi runs the show behind the scenes with business smarts, seed starting wizardry, crop planning, and harvest hustle. Mike? He’s the ultimate farm hand; compost king, soil guru, bed builder, irrigation master, and chief of all things construction.
By day, they both have full-time jobs. By night (and weekends), they pour their hearts into this passion project they call a farm. It’s a little dirt, a lot of love, and a whole bunch of teamwork.
And let's not forget Finn, the four-legged heart of our flower farm. With chickens to watch, blooms to inspect, and humans (a.k.a. Mom and Dad) to supervise, he keeps everything running smoothly; mostly from the comfort of his favorite shade tree. When he’s not lounging like a pro, he’s always up for a good game of fetch with his trusty tennis ball.
Equal parts charm and chill, Finn is living proof that a good dog makes everything bloom a little brighter.
